Tycroes welcome Mumbles in Division Two West this afternoon (KO 2:30pm)

Today we extend a warm welcome back to Cae Gelli to the Players, Committee and Supporters of Mumbles Rugby Club. It will be a renewal of old acquaintances for both teams after Tycroes’ spell in Division One West last season.

Tycroes have a slight edge with one win from the two games played, a 29-10 victory at Cae Gelli against Tumble 2 weeks ago.

Our visitors this afternoon have lost both league encounters this season, going down 56-19 at Carmarthen Athletic in Round One and suffered a 26-55 home defeat to Penclawdd last weekend.

Tycroes beat Mumbles 22-15 the last time ‘seasiders’ visited Cae Gelli back in April 2017.

Tycroes again have a number of players sidelined through injury and the strength of the squad will once again be tested.

We are all pleased with the news of former Captain Steve Roach’s recovery and wish him all the very best for a full return to health. His playing career may have been cut short but he is already back on the touchline within a week. Good on you Steve!

Shaun Jones continues at Full Back with Elgan Griffiths and Mikey Hopkins on the wings. Regular Outside Half Dean Bromham moves to inside centre and will partner Captain Luc Rees. Aled Jones wears number 10.

In the pack Daryl John reverts to Number 8 and Rudi Botes starts at openside flanker alongside Jordan Phillips. John James partners Steffan Davies in the second row.

We would like to take this opportunity to gently remind club members, away spectators and all other visitors that the club has a strict NO DOGS allowed policy.
