Tycroes travel to Pontyberem in Specsavers National Two West tomorrow afternoon (Kick Off 2:30pm)

Following a 3 week break Tycroes will be hoping to build on an excellent 9-13 victory over Tenby United last month.

Tycroes have won 3 out of their 6 league fixtures so far this season, Pontyberem, in comparison have also won on 3 occasions but have played 8 of their league fixtures. Just 4 points separate the two sides in 2 West.

Tycroes Rugby have won their last two Specsavers 2 West matches but have not won 3 in a row since December 2018.

Pontyberem have lost their last 2 fixtures including a 10-31 loss to Fishguard & Goodwick last time out.

Tycroes have lost their last 2 matches against Pontyberem. Tomorrow’s hosts recorded a league double over Tycroes last season winning 25-10 at the Recreation Ground in February and 13-27 at Cae Gelli back in November 2018.

Tycroes last win against Pontyberem came at their Recreation Ground, a comprehensive 9-48 victory back in February 2017. An 8 try romp, 4 of which were scored by wing Daryl John.

Tycroes make 7 changes from the team that beat Tenby United last time out, 3 of which are positional.

A backline reshuffle sees captain Luc Rees move back to fullback from centre. Matthew Lemon returns to partner Elgan Griffiths in midfield. Dan Thomas reverts back to the wing from full back & Scott Davies on permit from Gowerton gets a second start at 10. Davies partners Dean Bromham who starts at scrum half in place of Aled James.

2 changes up front see Tim Rees start at lock, replacing Callum Davies who drops to the bench this week. Sion James returns to start at blindside flanker and packs down alongside Steff Jones and Will Evans in the back row. The front row is the same as the one that took the field in Tenby.
