Last Saturday the curtain came down on a challenging 2017/8 campaign in Welsh Rugby’s Division One West. Our final home game of the season, culminating in a 17-53 defeat to second place Dunvant at Cae Gelli.
Following the match, Players, Coaches, Sponsors, Supporters & key personnel were in attendance to bring the season to a close. The presentation evening coincided with a former player’s reunion…part two.
Luc Rees was the big winner at the end of season awards bash.
The Centre walked away with the top awards on the night including the coveted Player of the Season award & Impact Player of the Season.
In another double first team players player of the year went to prop Luke Stratford who also received the supporter’s player of the year award.
Hooker Greg Thompson was voted Most Improved Player of the Season. Matthew Lemon scooped the Top Try Scorer award with 5.
Shane Roberts cleaned up the Tycroes RFC Second Team awards, claiming both player of the season & players player of the season. Seconds sportsman of the year was awarded to Steff Rees.
