COVID-19 Official Statement

The clocks have gone forward, the nights are getting lighter, spring is in the air, summer on the horizon. However, we are living through uncertain and unprecedented times and things are changing quickly, this year things are somewhat different. Life as we know it on pause ⏸

As much as we were all looking forward to this June’s party, in light of the current COVID-19 Global outbreak and future uncertainty, alongside the now enforced period of social isolation we have decided to cancel this summer’s event.

We have been doing everything we can to keep business as usual, but we now have to accept it is not business as usual. The entertainment industry, including POTP has been thrown into turmoil by the coronavirus pandemic, with so many major events either postponed or cancelled completely.

This is the message you may have been expecting…It’s time to sadly confirm the inevitable and Party on the Pitch can be added to the significant list of 2020’s cancelled events.

Following much thought, deliberation whilst also closely monitoring Government advice, unfortunately but perhaps not surprisingly it is with the greatest regret and a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to postpone Party on the Pitch 2020. A difficult decision of course and one in which we have not taken lightly.

The health, safety and well being of everyone involved in POTP (bands, artists, traders, volunteers, crew, sponsors and of course you our audience) is paramount.

We’re working closely with our suppliers and technical crews, agencies and acts, as we know this is a difficult time for many within the festival industry.

We are heartbroken at having to postpone POTP, given the time and preparation of our dedicated & committed team that goes into the event. We thank them for their time and regret that the results of the efforts will not be visible in the short term.

We trust you will appreciate our conundrum and will continue to support Party on the Pitch. For this reason we are determined to make POTP 2021 the best party yet.
