Team to play Tenby United

Tycroes welcome Tenby United in Admiral National Two West tomorrow afternoon (Kick Off 2:30pm)

Our first fixture of the New Year, the home side will be looking to maintain their excellent recent form and build on the 15-12 win against Kidwelly prior to the Christmas break.

Tycroes have won just 3 out of their last 11 encounters against Tenby, with our visitors tomorrow winning 6. The two could not be separated in the 2013/14 season with both league games ending in a draw. Tycroes did however win the last fixture with a narrow 9-13 victory at Tenby’s Haywood Lane back in November 2019.

The ‘Seasiders’ won by a very similar 8-12 scoreline on their last visit to Cae Gelli back in December 2017. Tycroes have not beaten Tenby United at home since a thrilling 29-24 victory back in March 2017.

Tycroes are unbeaten in their last 3 league games winning 2 and a 13-13 draw with Nantgaredig. Our away fixture at Carmarthen Athletic last weekend was postponed due to high cases of Covid-19 in the Community game and has now been rescheduled for next weekend, Saturday 22nd January 2022.

Tenby United are one of two teams in 2 West yet to win a game this season. Both Tenby and Lougher have played 4 and lost 4, Tenby have secured 3 loosing bonus points from their last 3 league fixtures. 8 points separate the two sides in 2 West.

Start 2022 with a bang…Tycroes Rugby have won their first game of the New Year for the last 8 consecutive seasons a run stretching back to January 2012.

We would like to take this opportunity to gently remind Club members, away spectators and all other visitors that the Club has a strict NO DOGS allowed policy.
